Shipping Information

Here at Vande Walle's Candies we are in the business of making and selling fine chocolates and confections.  We are not in the business of shipping or making a profit from it.  Our website is linked directly to UPS and SpeeDee Delivery to calculate real time shipping charges.  You will have the opportunity to choose your own carrier.  Shipping details follow.  We hope this will help you when you have shipping questions.  If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us.  Thank you for choosing Vande Walle's Candies.

UPS

UPS generally has a 1 day delivery time within Wisconsin and bordering cities.  There is a 1 - 5 day delivery time within the continental United States.  You may get an estimated shipping time through the UPS website.  You will have the option to ship via ground or expidited delivery through UPS.  When your package ships, you will automatically receive a UPS tracking number.   UPS does not ship to PO Boxes.

SpeeDee Delivery

SpeeDee delivery has a 1 day delivery time within Wisconsin.  We find that SpeeDee Delivery is generally less expensive than UPS in the 8-state upper midwest region that SpeeDee delivers to. The delivery time is not guaranteed, especially during the holiday package rush.  When your package ships, you will automatically be emailed the tracking number.  SpeeDee does not deliver to PO Boxes.

Processing of Orders

Website orders are processed and shipped within 2-4 business days of receipt if all products are in stock.  There may be a delay in the shipment of your order if an item is temporarily out of stock.  If that delay is more than 5 business days we will notify you by email.

All products are wrapped in cushioning foal, bubble wrap or tissue paper, then packed in a shipping carton.  We package all of our chocolates to keep them from being damaged during shipping.  We ship our orders Monday through Friday weather permitting. 

Warm Weather Shipping

If an order is being shipped to a warmer climate, where the destination temperature is above 70 degrees, you will have the option to select warm weather shipping to better protect the product from the heat during transit and after arrival.  If you select warm weather shipping, we will pack your heat sensitive products with frozen ice packs and ship using expedited Second Day Air delivery outside of Wisconsin.  We reserve the right to hold the order to ship on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid having the package sit in a warm climate over a weekend.  

If you choose not to use warm weather shipping where the destination temperature is above 70 degrees, you may want to consider choosing products of ours that are not heat sensitive and do not require expedited shipping to reach the destination in great shape.  Examples of these can be found below.

Products That Are Not Heat Sensitive

Peanut brittle, cashew brittle, pistachio brittle, Spotted Cow beer brittle, award-winning wrapped caramels in 8 oz boxes, 1-lb. boxes, and 12 oz. Rachael Ray bags, caramel corn, deluxe mixed nuts, jumbo cashews, pecan caramel logs and caramel marshmallow swirls, 

Currently we only ship in the continental United States.

Need Quicker Delivery?

Expedited delivery is available.  this option will be available during the checkout process.  Most overnight and 2nd day deliveries can be anywhere from $25 to $150 depending on the carrier, weight of the package, and level of service selected.  Please remember that these are UPS rates.  We do not artificially raise the cost of our products to subsidize UPS shipping rates.
